"NOT" all that happens in Vegas  - "HAS" to stay in Vegas

THE NEW VEGAS MARBLE SHOW

November 11, 2006

We are pleased to announce that the International Association of Marble Collectors (IAMC) and Marbleholics/Marble Collector Unlimited (MA/MCU) will be hosting a NEW marble show in Las Vegas, Nevada. This show is the first time two clubs have joined to put on a Marble show.  The IAMC club hosts SEATTLE MARBLE SPECTACULAR in July and has three regional ‘Get-togethers’ and a newsletter.  The MA/MCU sponsored by Del Morgan has a newsletter as well as operating the Marble Collectors Unlimited Club in conjunction with Gary Huxford and the Amana Marble Show.  Amana is the oldest show and is celebrating its 30th year in June.  It is the grand daddy of the shows.

The show will be Saturday November 11, 2006.  In-Room trading will start Wednesday the 9th.  The New Vegas Marble Show will be held at the Las Vegas Club in Historic downtown Las Vegas at 18 East Freemont Street.  The phone for reservations is 1-800-634-6532.  The rate is $59.00/night for Wednesday and Thursday and the rates will be $79.00/night for Friday and Saturday.  We have up to four floors of the hotel blocked for this event.  Reserve your room soon.  When the block of rooms is gone we cannot guarantee the rate.  A Hospitality Suite will be open early and stay open very late so that attendees can come in, chat, have a snack and refreshments and find out who is checked in and when each room may be open for In-Room Marble Trading.

There are plenty of activities outside the hotel including the world famous “Fremont Street Experience”, Binions Horseshu, street artists, plenty of casinos and food.  The hotel is a full scale casino and will bea blast for all who attend.  We have rented 3600 square feet of show room for the event and it promises to be one of the biggest ever in Vegas.

We have several web sites available for the Las Vegas area shows and activities.  As well as some free coupons to help you enjoy your experience.  Taxicabs are abundant we paid less that $10.00 including tip from the end of the strip back to the hotel.  For those of you who have never been to Las Vegas or have not been there for a few years… It is Amazing. All the major Hotels/Casinos are new within the last 10 years.   Even if you are not gambler, the sights, the lights, the shows and the excitement are well worth the trip. Most casinos have free shows for the general public.  Just walking through the Bellagio, The canals of the Venetian, The Eiffel Tower in Paris or seeing the hourly pirate battle at Treasure Island are well worth an admission, but they are all FREE.

The staff at the Las Vegas Club seem very excited to have us coming there this year.  This will be the first year the show was held anywhere other than the Clarion it had been at the last 13 years.  This hotel looks to be eager to take very good care of us and welcomes us to attend every year.  So let’s make sure we show them what a wonderful time we can have while being courteous to their other guests as well as staff.

Julie, Dani, Ernie, Lee and I are all very excited to be putting this show on again this year and look forward to it growing into one of the premier shows in the West.  Please join us and see what all the hype is about.

So when we get to Vegas, let's have a great time and make sure that we are
always respectful of those around us, marble folk or not.

See ya' in Vegas
