OCTOBER ARTIST OF THE MONTH-FRITZ LAUENSTEIN

Fritz Lauenstein has been hand-crafting marbles since 1986 and has become one of the top-rated marble artists in the country. Operating as Fritz Glass in Dennisport, Massachusetts, Fritz creates others types of glass art such as vases, platters, bowls, and paperweights, but finds that his spheres are in the most demand. He only makes a limited number of each design and color combination, most commonly in Josephs Coat and Ribbon Swirl styles. However, he does make signed and numbered limited edition sets in different designs and techniques; one of his most impressive of these is the "Halfie," which combines the end-of-cane pieces from two different styles, the result of which is truly unique.

Fritz's marbles are featured in several galleries across the county and are rarely offered for sale through the Internet. I am very proud and fortunate to be able to offer these here.

Fritz signs all of his work, and it is usually dated, too. Limited edition marbles typically also contain the number of the marble in that particular series, and some are also signed with a signature cane.
