Contemporary Handmade-Ray Laubs

Great set of four same cane marbles from Ray showing a fat ribbon core in each with bright colors as well as a thin green aventurine band down the center of each marble.  You are bidding on the set.  They are unsigned.

Wonderful blue on powder blue corkscrew.  Shows a nice dividing line on either side of the darker blue and a few small ticks.

Nice marble charm with a brass clasp that is claw like in appearance.    The marble shows a couple of very small as made creases and a couple of tiny ticks.

Beautiful pattern on this wonderful amber based MFC slag showing a gorgeous and detailed "9" and tail.  I noticed after all pictures were done that this marble shows a sweet barrel pattern on the backside and forgot to shoot it.  This marble shows some pinprick clusters as well as a spot that looks like it is a cluster of scratches.  All on the backside.

Great pattern on this black base swirl with primarily yellow swirls in a wild pattern.  There is some white along some of the yellow.  This marble has overall small ticks and pinpricks as well as light scratching.

Huge and rare marble from Akro Agate.  Great size on this highly fluorescent Cherry Ade shooter.  This is a hard to find marble in a very hard to find size.  Marble shows several small ticks, scratching and overall wear.  There are a few 1/2 moons on the surface with some full moons, but little glass missing.

The picture of this marble does not even come close to the true beauty of this marble.  A new style of marble from Dad that has been dubbed the "Monet" marble.  This one shows a colorful hot air balloon floating through the sky.  A wonderful concept using enamels and signed "CaptM 04"

Harder to find green flame from Alley Agate that shows green aventurine in the flames and swirls.  Aventurine is not at all common in these marbles.  This one shows two tiny little ticks.

Huge size on this oxblood patch a green band as well as a nice thick band of oxblood.  Shows some minor wear over the majority of the surface, but nothing dramatic.

Sulphide marble of a standing line.  Marble is centered nicely and the damage is well noted in the pictures.  Shows several hits and chips with some surface moons and then over all lighter scratching.

Harder to find advertising box from Weather Bird Shoes.  Shows a rooster on either end of an elongated punch out on the front.  One end flap is torn off, but still with the box and there are some minor tears with the box being slightly out of square.  Marbles show overall light wear and are Heaton Agate marbles.

Rare and striking color combination in this Hybrid Popeye.  Blue, orange and yellow right on the surface with what looks like a secondary yellow band in the core of the marble.  Marble shows overall scratches as well as small pits, ticks and chips.

Wonderful coloring and pattern in this older and unusual swirl with rich brown, tan and a creamy off-white base.  This marble shows a very small blow hole and two tiny ticks.  The diaper fold is clearly shown in the top picture.  Gorgeous marble in hand.

Gorgeous banded Lutz in a nice size.  Marble shows two Lutz bands outlined in white with two orange bands in between each.  Nice coloring on this marble that has been polished with the pontils left remaining.

Wonderful size and great hand gathered effects on this swirl from CAC.  Marble shows a nice pattern of red swirls with hints of yellow and brown on a green base.  Marble shows one small tick and a melt spot.

Gorgeous and hard to find clear based oxblood with a nice large patch of oxblood on a bubble filled clear base with one line of transparent green about a third of the way into the core of the marble.  This is a gorgeous, gorgeous marble in hand.

Great colors on this Parrot from Vitro.  Shows a gorgeous teal blue with red, lavender and yellow.  Marble does not show any aventurine and does show overall light wear in the way of overall scratches, small ticks, chips and pits.

Wonderful tri-color corkscrew showing a nice corking pattern of yellow and brown on a blue base.  The bottom pole shows where the end of the cork almost came back on top of the lower level.  Marble shows a couple of small ticks.

Nice size on this brightly colored three banded naked Divided Core.  Shows two bands of green, red, blue and white and one thinner band of red, white and blue.  Harder to find marble with no surface bands.  Shows some chips and small ticks over a great deal of the marble, but no major glass loss.  Most damage is small to the smaller side of medium.

Unusual red slag from CAC.  At first glance, you would believe it to be Peltier.  however, the coloring is not right nor is the feathering.  Gorgeous red slag boasting two seams and a gorgeous pattern.  Marble shows a couple of small ticks.

Four Czech marbles in a nice size.  There are two striped opaque marbles and two striped transparent marbles.  Colors are purple on white, orange on white, yellow on clear and blue on clear.  All four marbles show identical scratching and pinpricking.

Gorgeous Carnelian Oxblood in a super size.  Wide band of oxblood with a rusty brown swirl in a translucent white base with wispy filaments.  Marble shows some small hits and ticks, but views much better than grade.

Original Vitro Agate poly bag that is 8" x 11".  There are 71 Vitro marbles included.  The marbles appear to be newer than the bag to me.  The bag shows some rubbing off of the coloring, a split down the top of one seam and most of the marbles have annealing fractures.  Nice graphics on the bag.

Gorgeous corkscrew showing a split white corkscrew in deep transparent red glass.  Simply a gorgeous cork for being as basic as it truly is.  Marble shows a couple of small ticks.

Unusual little electric yellow slag showing one small area of white swirling on the surface.  There is no other color in this marble.  Just a tremendous amount of yellow.  Unique marble that views nicely.  Shows a small hits.

Rare Black Eyed Pea showing one black and one yellow patch on a Pea green base.  The real kicker on this marble is that it has green aventurine in the small window between the black and yellow.  First I have ever seen.  Shows small ticks over about 1/2 of the marble.

Extremely rare marble from Akro Agate.  This is a three color Royal Patch which is hard enough to find.  This marble also shows black aventurine across the yellow.  There are very few that have ever been found and since Peltier was the only company that manufactured the black aventurine, it is wild to have them in a marble from Akro.  Marble shows small ticks and pinpricking over  a great deal of the black.

Stunning cobalt blue based Guinea from CAC.  Colors and pattern on this marble are simply stunning.  The stretched colors on the surface consist of white, yellow, green, powder blue, lavender, orange and a burnt salmon color.  Marble shows one very small flake and a hard to find bruise.
